kotlin finance android

The Details

Like many of you, I’ve struggled to find a personal finance app that truly fits my needs. Most apps I tried either didn’t tolerate my “laziness” – the simple fact that tracking every single penny can feel like a chore – or they just weren’t robust enough for serious financial management. I constantly found myself hitting a wall, unable to get a clear, auditable picture of my finances.

I knew that auditing was essential to keep assets accurate while still being able to track expenses effectively. This led me to explore accounting principles, and I eventually stumbled upon the double-entry bookkeeping formula. It’s a method that ensures every transaction has a corresponding entry, providing a built-in system of checks and balances. I realized this could be the solution to my problem, so I set out to apply and adjust it specifically for personal finance cases. The result is an app designed to accurately manage your personal finances, built on the solid foundation of dual-entry bookkeeping.
